Fleas

Fleas are parasites that feed on blood. Fleas can live around 100 days and can produce 400-500 offspring. Fleas usually remain on their hosts, such as dog and cats at all times. Fleas infest other animals as well. Fleas can transfer tapeworms and cause anemia in pets. Fleas can also transmit the bacterial disease murine typhus to humans through infected rats.
